I'll be receiving a NCL cruise certificate next week from a Caesars Entertainment casino. It's been awhile since I've sailed NCL on a CAS comped cruise and not being at a tier where the Admin. Fees are waived I probably won't use the certificate since I have more offers than I can possibly use from Royal, Celebrity and Carnival that doesn't charge that ridiculous fee.
So for the Epic (new ship, popular itineraries) you're going to get a lower level of cabin than you would on the Spirit (older ship, less popular itineraries) for the same level of play. That's fine with us, we prefer the smaller ships, and you can get good itineraries on them too. Since our chosen cruise coincided with many colleges' spring breaks, we were not able to get award tickets at "saver" rates. So we're buying round trip transcontinental tickets on Delta for $350/person. I won't add this into my cruise cost, but it's still cash out-of-pocket for us.
